Turkey to contain currency fluctuations: Erdogan


(MENAFN) Turkey is able to restrain currency volatility within the short term, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan affirmed.

The Turkish president said in an address in the Presidential Complex that currency fluctuations have been a result of international factors.

President Erdogan pledged that following the elections, he will implement necessary measures in order for inflation and account deficit to be handled.

Prime Minister Binali Yildirim also stressed that the foreign exchange volatility was "temporary" and is not to affect the growth of economy.
