Oman, Pakistan sign cooperation deal for oil sector


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Islamabad- Oman's government, represented by the Ministry of Oil and Gas, and the government of Pakistan, represented by the Ministry of Energy, signed a cooperation agreement in the field of oil.

The agreement was signed on Monday in Islamabad by H E sheikh Mohammed bin Omar al Marhoon, the sultanate's Ambassador to Pakistan, and Mohammed Jalal Sakandar Sultan, secretary general of Pakistan's Ministry of Energy.

In a statement to reporters, H E Marhoon highlighted the importance of the deal, as it will open the Pakistani market for Omani oil and LNG products. Oman Trading International, Pakistan State Oil Co and LPG Company will market these products in both the countries.
