Syria invites stronger economic ties with Iran
(MENAFN) Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has promoted economic relations between his country and Iran, emphasizing the importance to strengthen them.
The statement has been made by President Bashar al-Assad during a meeting with visiting Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Abbas Akhundi.
The Syrian president also noted that boosting economic cooperation with Iran is the main approach in opposing Western strategies.
The president also suggested that Western countries attempt to make other countries capitulate to their hegemonic policies through imposing measures such as sanctions as a way for pressure.
