Turkey expels Israeli Ambassador

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ANKARA, May 15 (KUNA) -- Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs demanded on Tuesday the Israeli Ambassador to Turkey, Eitan Na'eh, return to Israel due to events in Gaza yesterday.
The official Anadolu News Agency said the Ministry of foreign affairs asked the Israeli ambassador to leave the country following indiscriminate violence and killings by Israeli soldiers along the Gaza demarcation lines.
Turkish Ambassador to Israel kemal Okem returned home today after being called back by the ministry of foreign affairs due to the "Israeli massacre in Palestine." At the same time, political parties represented in the Turkish Parliament condemned "the massacre in Gaza," which led to death of 60 Palestinians and injured more than 2,271 others.
The activists were killed in peaceful protests against moving the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and the 70th anniversary of what the Palestinians call Al-Nakba -- that was when Israel was proclaimed at expense of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who lost their homeland. (end) rs.bb
