Turkish pres. to visit UK Sun.


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ANKARA, May 11 (KUNA) -- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is set to pay a three-day official visit to the UK on Sunday, the presidential press office said on Friday.
During his stay in London, Erdogan will meet Queen Elizabeth II and British Prime Minister Theresa May, the office said in a press statement.
They will mainly discuss ways of developing Turkish-UK relations in the fields of energy, trade, defensive industries, culture, Syria, Iraq, Turkish-EU relations and the fight against terrorism, it added.
The Turkish leader will also attend the closing dinner of Turkish-British Tatlidil Forum on May 13 in Reading, southern England.
Established in 2011, the Tatlidil Forum, which last convened in Antalya, Turkey, mainly aims at promoting relations between Turkey and the UK. (end) rs.mt
