(MENAFN) Ghana has reportedly inaugurated its embassy in Doha, the capital of Qatar, following three decades of "progressive" ties among both countries.

During the opening of the embassy, Ghanaian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey has reportedly affirmed relations between Ghana and Qatar to be further developed.

Gulf Times cited the Ghanaian minister confirming that "the bilateral relations between Qatar and Ghana will be further expanded, strengthened and consolidated" following the opening of the embassy.
