OIS students amazed by Oryx Kids Club mascots

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Oryx Kids Club's five mascots Orry, Orah and their three furry friends Kamil, the camel; Faaiz, the falcon; and Farah, the desert fox; recently made a special appearance at Oryx International School (OIS), delighting the children, who were enthralled by the surprise guests.
The visit, hosted by OIS, gave the students an opportunity to meet and interact with the life-sized mascots. The special appearance was aligned with the school curriculum's topic of travel, as the Oryx Kids Club mascots demonstrate the importance of team work, leadership and the importance of being global explorers. The exclusive experience follows the official launch of the Oryx Kids Club and the characters' debut launch last month.
Salam al-Shawa, Qatar Airways Senior Vice President Marketing and Corporate Communications, said, 'Qatar Airways is thrilled to introduce the Oryx Kids Club to the students of the Qatar Airways school, Oryx International School, for the first time. This is a great opportunity for us to share our exciting new characters and highlight our interest in making this launch a fun and educational experience for young travellers. Orry, Orah and their three friends will make every flight with Qatar Airways an even more enjoyable experience for families. Our activity packs will inspire children's creativity and learning during their journey with us.
Jarlath Madine, Principal of OIS, said, 'We are excited to welcome the Oryx Kids Club mascots to our Qatar Airways school. This was a wonderful opportunity for our students to experience and meet these newly launched characters. The mascots introduce the children to the diverse world of travel which complements their topics of learning and creates a sense of familiarity when they travel with Qatar Airways in the future. Qatar Airways continues to prove that it is a family-friendly airline with its innovative approach and willingness to inspire children.
Qatar Airways launched the Oryx Kids Club mascots at KidzMondo in March. The Oryx Kids Club is an initiative by Qatar Airways that involves children in an experience like no other, by offering them activity packs, plush toys and exclusive meal boxes.
OIS was set up in 2016, exclusively for the children of Qatar Airways employees. It offers an environment that enables a rich learning experience, providing the nurturing needed to students to become successful learners, ethical individuals, and international citizens. The new campus in Mesaimeer will provide a first-class experience with state-of-the-art facilities for all children.
The school follows the National Curriculum of England, which provides the students with a challenging learning environment that is balanced, interactive and supports their development in all activities. Catering to the students from Foundation Stage I to Year X (aged 3 to 15), OIS is committed to recognising the students as individuals with their own unique learning needs.
With more than 4,000 entertainment options to choose from, Qatar Airways' award-winning in-flight entertainment service, Oryx One, also features dedicated children's channels such as Disney, Nickelodeon, the Cartoon Network, Baraaem and Jeem, to keep youngsters happy throughout the flight. Family-friendly films currently being shown on board include, My Little Pony, The Movie, The Lego Ninjago Movie, The Boss Baby, Winnie the Pooh and Diary of a Wimpy Kid, as well as many others.
