Turkey to react if US stops arms selling

(MENAFN) On Sunday, Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that if the US stops selling weapons to Turkey, Ankara will retaliate to that.

US lawmakers on Friday released the details of a USD717 billion annual defense policy bill, including the measure on weapons sales to Turkey which suggests a temporary sanction on the country.

Turkish FM in return, told CNN Turk that the measures in the bill "were wrong, illogical and not fitting between the NATO allies", as reported by Reuters.

"If the United States imposes sanctions on us or takes such a step, Turkey will absolutely retaliate," Cavusoglu was quoted by Reuters, "what needs to be done is the U.S. needs to let go of this."
