Lebanon to open polls Sunday in parliamentary elections
(MENAFN) Lebanon's parliamentary elections have entered their final phase, with the polls set to open on Sunday for citizens to cast their vote on a new parliament.
Lebanese citizens are to march at 0400 GMT to polling stations, with an opportunity to cast their ballots until 1600 GMT.
Over 3.6 million eligible voters were said to be selecting among 583 candidates running for 128 parliamentary seats.
The result of the votes was said to be expected to be closely observed by regional players Iran and Saudi Arabia.
