Washington, Sha'ban 18, 1439, May 4, 2018, SPA -- US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo vowed today to pursue "strong diplomacy" aimed at "solving problems peacefully, without the need to fire a single bullet,"
"We are going through tough times, there are demands for strong leadership, and it is necessary for our team to stand up to the threats with courage and strength," Pompeo told a group of US diplomats at the State Department in celebration of the Foreign Affairs Day.
Pompeo further said that "We need strong diplomatic efforts" in the Middle East as well "to curb Iran's destabilizing behavior in Syria, Yemen and the region."
This comes days before President Trump's forthcoming decision on the fate of a nuclear deal signed by the superpowers with Iran.
