PSD director meets Tunisian, EU ambassadors


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, May 3 (Petra)-Director General of the Public Security Department (PSD) Maj. Gen. Fadel Hmoud, on Thursday discussed with ambassadors of Tunisia, Khaled Al-Suhaili and the European Union, Andrea Matthieu Fontana, prospects of mutual cooperation and exchange of expertise in the police fields.

In separate meetings, Hmoud said the PSD aims to benefit from the expertise of other police and security bodies and hold joint training programs to combat cross-border crime.

He said the PSD is ready to provide all support to Arab and world partners and is keen to boost mutual cooperation in all police fields.

The Tunisian envoy, for his part, lauded security cooperation between the two countries, stressing the importance of forging future programs to develop means of cooperation, exchange expertise, and hold joint training activities for police teams in both countries. The ambassador Fontana also praised the PSD's professionalism in accordance with the highest international standards for respect of human rights and dignity.
