Kuwait- Measures eyed to tackle problem of bachelors in residential areas

KUWAIT CITY, May 2: Farwaniya Governor Sheikh Faisal Al- Hamoud highlighted the concern that the political leadership has regarding the presence of bachelors in residential areas, describing the issue as a ticking time bomb due to its serious impact on social security in residential areas.

During his meeting with the mayors of several areas and a number of leaders from various sectors, the governor stressed the need to combat this negative phenomenon, tighten supervision and apply the law by forming teams with representatives of all bodies in order to ensure this problem is solved.

Meanwhile, implementation Sector of Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) has requested the contractor of infrastructure works project in South Abdullah Al-Mubarak City, which contains 3,260 housing units, to expedite the execution and handover of the project prior to the two-year deadline, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting an informed source.

He said a meeting will be held between the leaders of PAHW and representatives of the company involved in the project execution, indicating the keenness of the PAHW leaders to remove the obstacles facing contractors.
