Pakistan holds top spot in latest ICC T20 ranking


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket team has retained first position in the International Cricket Council (ICC) T-20I ranking with 130 points.

With 130 points in lead, Australia stood with 126 points on the table while India secured third position in the rankings after gaining two points to reach 123.

Following the update by ICC ranking list that was issued today, New Zealand retained 116 points, England 115 however Sri Lanka that earlier ranked eighth have descended to ninth spot after losing four points.

Bangladesh gets 10th position in the list followed by Scotland, Zimbabwe, Netherlands, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Oman and Ireland.

Pakistan continues to reign on top in T20 matches. Last year, the team topped the T20I ranking for the first time under the leadership of Sarfaraz Ahmed.
