(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Seeb shocked five-time winner and defending champion Nizwa 84-46 to clinch the eighth edition of the Oman Basketball Association (OBA) Ministry's Shield Championship at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex on Thursday.
It was Seeb's second Ministry's Shield title and halted Nizwa's winning streak of three consecutive titles. Seeb received a cash award of RO 15,000 for its win while Nizwa got RO 10,000. Last year's runner-up Ahli-Sidab finished third and received RO 5,000. Later, H E Said bin Hamdoon al Harthy, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Transport and Communications for Ports and Maritime Affairs, gave away the trophies.
