PLO: Trump peace agreements to not include Palestinians
(MENAFN) Palestinians are not to be included in peace agreements that President Trump proposes, Secretary General of Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Saeb Erekat declared.
The US president was suggested by the PLO official to have distanced himself from the peace procedure through recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
The top official also said that "the United States cannot be a partner or a mediator in the peace process unless it changes its position of recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel because it is meaningless to have a Palestinian state without East Jerusalem as its capital."
His statement was made while speaking on the official radio Voice of Palestine before US State Secretary Mike Pompeo lands in Israel on Sunday.
