(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, April 28 (KUNA) -- An Egyptian court on Saturday sentenced six jailed members of the Muslim Brotherhood to death for alleged involvement in violence and murder in Egypt's southern Minya Governorate in 2013.
The Court of Cassation also sentenced another three defendants for 25 years in prison, and upheld a previous 25-year-in-jail decision against 59 defendants.
The Egyptian court further cleared 47 people of earlier violence charges.
The defendants were accused of breaking into a police station in Minya Governorate, setting its documents ablaze and helping prisoners escape from the police facility. (end) rg.mt
