Oman- Tristar partners with Sohar Port for 'Be Safe Sohar 2018'

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- For the second consecutive year, Tristar Group, the leading integrated liquid logistics company, contributed to Sohar Port and Freezone's 'Be Safe Sohar 2018' event by providing resource speakers on road safety, ship-to-shore operational safety and safe terminal operations.

Aside from the safety lectures, several other items were conducted at the event.

These included a defensive driver training and first aid training course, a blood donation drive, an exhibition and a mock drill were conducted at the three-day event.

Tristar's Shipping Division also participated in the oil spill drill at the event.

The company has regularly conducted simulation exercises to further improve its ability to respond to any oil spills.

Tristar Group chief administrative officer Balaji Nagabhushan, said, 'We are one with Sohar Port and Freezone to further the importance of safety. This is because we firmly believe that having safe operations and implementing world-class best practices will attract businesses and will considerably improve the economy, thereby benefiting the community.'

The annual event sees employees and stakeholders of Sohar Port and Freezone take part in a number of workshops covering first-aid, road and driver safety, dangerous and heavy goods handling, safe terminal operations, ship-to-shore operational safety and environmental preservation.
