Palestinians injured in clashes with Israeli forces in Jerusalem
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Ramallah, April 25 (Petra)-- A number of Palestinian youths were injured early Wednesday in clashes with Israeli occupation troops in Abu Deis town, southeast of the occupied Jerusalem, a Palestinian source said.
According to a statement by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society(PRCS), violent clashes erupted early this morning between the Palestinian youths and Israeli soldiers. During clashes, Israeli troops used toxic tear gas canisters and fired bullets against the youths near Al-Quds University in Abu Deis town, leaving a number of them injured, it added.
Also this morning, Israeli troops closed all roads leading to the Al-Quds University and schools in the area, the PRCS said.
