Aluminium Bahrain looks for US tariffs exemption
(MENAFN) Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) was confirmed by its chief executive Tim Murray to be looking for the US to grant an exemption from its tariffs.
On the sidelines of a conference held in London, the chief executive declared while speaking to Reuters "we are in the process of doing that application."
Chief executive Murray suggested that in the possibility the US denied an exemption, "ultimately the tariffs will be passed along in terms of the Midwest pricing... the consumer is going to pay.
The Bahraini major aluminum smelters owner exports at the moment aluminum to the US in a quantity that reaches 120,000 tonnes.
