Qatar- Sheikha Moza to take part in EAA event in NY

Doha: H H Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, will participate in an event organised by the EAA Foundation in cooperation with the United Nations International Children's Fund (UNICEF) in New York next Friday.

H H Sheikha Moza will deliver a speech that will highlight the achievements of the EAA's ‘Educate A Child' program in delivering quality education to marginalised children and EAAs successful partnership model.

The UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, will take part in the event where he will discuss ways of tackling the worsening education crisis, which is affecting over 63 million primary aged children.

During her stay in New York, H H Sheikha Moza will also visit Qatar Foundation International (QFI) projects. QFI is a US-based member of Qatar Foundation, a grant-making organisation and a convener of thought leaders on issues related to global and international education, open education and education technologies as they intersect with the core QFI programmatic areas: Arabic language and Arab culture, science, technology, engineering and mathematics, as well as arts.
