France warns US from abandoning Syria before finding solution

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) (With POL-FRANCE-US) PARIS, April 22 (KUNA) -- French President Emmanuel Macron warned on Sunday the US from complete withdrawal from Syria even after the elimination of the so-called Islamic State (IS), without finding a solution to the crisis there.
In an interview with US news channel (Fox News), prior to visit the US, Marcon added "leaving Syria to the Syrian regime and its allies will enable them to prepare for another war." The French leader noted that the US, France, and their allies in the region, including Russia and Turkey must have a role after the war is over with IS, to establish a "new Syria." On another front, Marcon expressed hope that the US leader would maintain EU's exception of tariffs on US imports.
The French leader added allies should not go to war trades against each other.
On the Iranian nuclear program, Marcon called on Trump to stick to Vienna agreement, a move Trump has threaten to retreat from next May. (end) mjz.mb
