Lebanon's president says Syrian refugees started to return voluntary

(MENAFN) Lebanon's president Michel Aoun, told the Archbishop of New York, Cardinal Timothy Dolan, whom he received this Wednesday at the Baabda Palace, that "the return of Syrian refugees in Lebanon to the safe areas of Syria will contribute significantly to the return of social stability to Lebanon which relies on the assistance of States, especially the United States, to achieve this return," NNA reported.

"The international organizations have sensed the desire of Syrians to return to safe areas where there is no fighting," Aoun said.

He went on to say that "there are groups that have begun voluntary returning to Syrian cities, which confirms the existence of security conditions which allow that."

"After declaring its intention to become a Jewish State, Israel is pressing on people belonging to other religions to vacate their holy sites, and that pressure would be doubled if the US embassy is moved to Jerusalem, where the holy sites of all religions are located," the President stressed.
