Doha Youth Choir performs at Qatar National Library opening ceremony
Doha: The Doha Youth Choir, a community-based musical choir that celebrates music through cultural exchanges, performed at the opening ceremony of the Qatar National Library (QNL), member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, on April 16.
The choir comprises a group of highly talented young singers trained to perfection by the dedicated musician-cum-instructor and brainchild behind The Doha Youth Choir, Alena Pyne. They opened the event with a perfect rendition of the Qatar National Anthem. The pride and joy in each singer was apparent as they performed for the Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Father Emir and H H Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser and other distinguished guests.
Doha Youth Choir will perform their next concert ‘A Treasury of Folksongs' on April 26 at the Swiss International School Qatar. Also appearing will be the younger Doha Junior Choir. For tickets or other information email
