Extremist settlers renewed storm Al Aqsa compound


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Ramallah, April 18(Petra)-- Dozens of Israeli extremist settlers early Wednesday renewed storming Al-Aqsa mosque / Haram Al Sharif in the occupied holy city of Jerusalem, a Palestinian source confirmed.

The General Director of the Islamic Awqaf and al-Aqsa Affairs, sheikh Azzam Al-Khatib, told Petra's reporter in Ramallah that today's raid was carried in groups and under heavy protection of Israeli special forces, adding that the intruders entered the Muslim's holy shrine from Al- Magharebah Gate .

Al-Khatib said that the Occupation troops arrested one of the al-Aqsa's guard, who he was trying to enter the mosque from the Hatta Gate, and tightened their security measures on the gates and inside compound to ensure the settlers' daily incursions.
