Algeria: Sonatrach to improve efficiency with digital technology
(MENAFN) Algeria's energy firm Sonatrach is seeking digital technology to be employed in boosting efficiency along with investing an effort in solar power with foreign cooperation, its CEO declared.
CEO Abdelmoumene Ould Kaddour stressed that the country ought to "find solutions for raising its reserves, including using digital to reduce costs and optimise its output."
Sonatrach is also looking to further heighten its efforts in boosting Algeria's solar sector, the CEO affirmed at the opening session of an international energy conference in Oran.
The chief then pointed out that "we have invested to get 1.6 gigawatts, we definitely need to focus on solar."
