Pakistan- Nurses in Kohat seek service structure and risk allowance

(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) KOHAT: The members of Nursing Association presented charter of demands to the provincial government and held yet another protest demonstration in Kohat District Hospital.

The hospital staff boycotted from their duties for two hours requesting the health department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for provision of service structure, risk and compensatory allowance.

The agitated nurses held banners and placards inscribed with their demands and chanted slogans against the government.

They said that the nurses give their heart and soul while working day and night at the hospitals to ensure patients are recovering however they are not given the incentives that they deserve.

In this regard, the vice-president of Nursing Association Asma Khan criticized the government for neglecting their genuine needs.

She said that previously the government had made false promises of providing them service structure and other necessary demands. However now the government has remained tight lipped over this matter.

The outraged employees threatened the provincial government to meet their needs by providing them service structure and risk & compensation allowance otherwise they will resort to protests and boycott duties across the province if the scenario remained the same.

It has been a week since the nurses are boycotting duties for several hours in District Headquarter Hospital Kohat seeking service structures and professional allowance.
