Yemen: gunmen blast oil pipeline in Shabwa
(MENAFN) Yemen has been inflicted with an oil pipeline explosion within its Shabwa province by unidentified armed men.
Speaking to Xinhua, a local security official revealed that "an explosion targeted the pipeline which connects the oil field in Oqla area with Aydh district of Shabwa Province."
The security source further reported "security troops were deployed in the area and several firefighers went directly to the site to deal with the fire."
The Shabwa government declared that it speculates "sabotage elements" of "planting and detonating explosive devices" so as to blow up the pipeline.
