Turkey calls for efforts to attain permanent peace in Syria

(MENAFN) Turkey's prime minister urged further attempts to be presented in attaining "lasting peace" in Syria, since enmity is not the solution.

Prime Minister Binali Yildirim emphasized how "more is needed for a lasting peace in Syria" while describing the airstrikes launched on Syria as a "positive step".

Western countries have been asked by the Turkish prime minister to invest intensified efforts for a long-lasting peace in Syria, noting how it has been seven years since Syrians first experienced such hostility.

At a rally held in Istanbul, Prime Minister Yildirim stressed "where were you until today? Do you remember your humanity only in the use of chemical weapons?"
