Kuwait Airways flights to Beirut cancelled on security concerns

(MENAFN) Kuwait Airways was declared to have suspended flights with a destination to Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, as a result of concerns related to security.

The suspension plan was decided to take effect after Cyprus authorities delivered "serious warning", the Kuwaiti airline explained.

Lebanon's Middle East airline has previously declared a plan to change the route of several flights as a result of the "recent security situation" between Syria and the US.

It comes after airlines that serve the Eastern Mediterranean and Nicosia FIR area receive a warning from European aviation officials, urging that "due consideration needs to be taken" after tensions increased between Syria and the US.
