Israel demolishes houses in Shaqba town west of Ramallah
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Ramallah, April 12 (Petra) -- Israeli occupation forces accompanied by bulldozers and military vehicles early Thursday stormed Shaqba town west of Ramallah and destroyed houses under the pretext they were built without license, according to a Palestinian source.
Shaqba Municipal Council said in a statement that Israeli troops demolished 5 houses in addition to walls of other houses in the same town. A private school, which was built for years in the town, is also under the threat of demolishing and it may be subject to destruction today, the statement revealed.
Meanwhile, clashes erupted between Israeli soldiers, who broke into the town early in the mourning, and young Palestinians who tried to halt the advancement of military vehicles into their town.
