Kuwait shooting team win five medals at Arab shooting tourney


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Kuwait shooting team won on Monday three gold and two silver medals, in the second day of Arab Shooting championship, in addition to five medals in the first day of competitions.

Eman Al-Shamma won the Skeet women championship earlier today, bringing the total number of points to 51 in single women category. Meanwhile, her teammate Afrah Mohammad won the silver with 50 points, while Bahraini Maryam Hassani won the bronze with 37 points. Kuwaiti individual Men team saw Abdulaziz Al-Assad winning gold medal in Skeet, ahead of Qatari Hamad Rashed, and UAE's Saif Al-Mansour.

Kuwait's men team won five medals, in total 10 medals in the championship, among them four gold, three silver, and three bronze. Head of the Kuwaiti delegation, Adnan Al-Ibrahim expressed to KUNA his content for the results so far, expressing his gratitude for the support the players received from Kuwaiti political leadership, namely His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

Earlier, Al-Shamma told KUNA following the event she was proud to have won the Skeet championship, and wished to achieve similar results in upcoming competitions. (KUNA)
