KUWAIT CITY, April 8: St Mark Coptic Orthodox Church celebrated Easter by holding a Mass, which was attended by a large number of people of different categories including the Egyptian community in Kuwait and the Kuwaiti society. Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Al-Jarrah was one among the invitees along with a number of Sheikhs, ambassadors and clerics.

On the behalf of the Egyptian Ambassador to Kuwait Tarek Elkouny, Counselor Nazli Al-Faiomi attended the mass, and conveyed a congratulatory message from the Egyptian President Abdul Fattah el-Sisi. In her speech, she said the occasion is considered as significant for the Christians as they break their major fast.

Al-Faiomi thanked the Kuwaiti leadership especially His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al- Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and the people of Kuwait. Also, Archbishop of the church Father Bigol Anba Bishoy expressed gratitude to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak, and the government and people of Kuwait.
