Renowned Pakistani jazz musicians to perform in Qatar

Doha: The much acclaimed Pakistani musicians, Sachal Jazz Ensemble, will delight the music aficionados in Qatar with a concert next week at Katara.

Embassy of Pakistan in cooperation with Katara Cultural Village is organizing "Sachal Jazz Concert" on April 16, 2018, from 8:30- 9:30 pm, at the Drama theatre - Building 16.

Entry for the concert is free, but a registration is required for attending the event, which can be done on Katara website. Kids under 6 are not allowed.

Sachal Jazz Ensemble has performed in various jazz festivals all over the world, including to a packed house at the Lincoln Centre.

They shot to fame after their Youtube video of playing Dave Brubeck's iconic "Take Five" garnered more than a million hits with Brubeck's himself writing to the Ensemble founder Izzat Majeed complementing him saying 'This is the most interesting and different recording of ‘Take Five' that I've ever heard.

They combine traditional Pakistani music with western Jazz and had the privilege of playing to packed audiences in Tokyo Jazz festival to American theatres.
