Gaza threatened to go into war if marches continue

(MENAFN) Adding insult to injury, Israel, while continuing its violations against Gaza's peaceful Great March of Return, it said that if the marches continue, it will strike Hamas.

The Israeli daily Haaretz quoted Israeli army sources as saying on Saturday that they would react forcefully if the alleged attempts to damage the fence continued.

Israeli occupation snipers have also been instructed to shoot Palestinians approaching the Gaza fence, according to the report.

Tens of thousands of demonstrators converged March 30 on the Gaza Strip's border with Israel to demand their right to return to their ancestral homes in historical Palestine.

In addition to the 31 martyrs, the attacks injured nearly 1,500 victims while the protests also intended to pressure Israel to lift its more than decade-long blockade of Gaza.
