Commercial Bank hosts NBO investor roadshow in Doha


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Commercial Bank recently hosted a high-level delegation from the National Bank of Oman (NBO) for a roadshow attended by Qatari businessmen, including the bank's VIP clients.
Commercial Bank has a strategic alliance with NBO — Oman's second largest bank — and holds a 34.9% stake in it.
The purpose of the roadshow was to promote NBO's capabilities and services to Commercial Bank customers with existing and potential business interests in Oman. For the businessmen in attendance, the roadshow served as an opportunity for Commercial Bank to present its credentials and explore potential investment opportunities in Qatar.
The businessmen were given a presentation by NBO's senior management team led by acting chief executive officer Al Sayyid Wasfi Jamshid al-Said, who gave an overview of Oman's business landscape, an introduction to NBO, identified opportunities in Oman for Qatar-based businesses and how NBO's partnership with Commercial Bank can help facilitate Qatari banking needs and requirements in the Sultanate of Oman.
Commercial Bank executive general manager (Government & Public Sector) Khalifa al-Rayes said, 'Commercial Bank and NBO are strong supporters of enhancing economic relations and investment opportunities between Qatari and Omani companies.
