Jordan- Royal Border Guard boats rescue two drowning people


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Apr 7 (Petra) –– The marine patrol squadron of the 3rd Royal Border Guard Battalion in the central military zone on Friday rescued a four-year-old child and a man from drowning at the Dead Sea.

The toddler was saved near the beach and the man, aged 24, was pulled from deep Dead Sea waters, according to a statement, which pointed out that the naval forces had dealt "professionally with both cases, saving their lives and administering the necessary aid to them." The rescue operations were part of the armed forces' efforts to serve the country and the citizens, it said, calling on "hikers in forests and water areas to take the necessary precautions for their safety."
