California: heavy rainfall triggers floods


(MENAFN) Yosemite National Park was flooded with water, leaving US tourists rushing out,meanwhile, San Francisco baseball fans had a game dismissed for the heavy rain for the first time in twelve years.

Authorities are observing swelling rivers and the increase in water levels at a damaged dam as a "Pineapple Express" storm doused Northern California.

The National Weather Service alerted that the melted snow would possibly quickly raise mountain water slides and rivers in the Sierra.

San Francisco International Airport declared the cancellation of nearly 150 flights for the bad weather state as other flights were delayed an hour or over.
