50,000 civilians return to Syria's E. Ghouta

(MENAFN) After the Syrian Arab army liberates the region from foreign-sponsored terrorists, about 50, 000 civilians have returned to their homes in Eastern Ghouta, SANA quoted a military source on Friday.

The return of citizens comes as authorities in Damascus countryside continue to provide basic services, reopen schools, remove debris and open streets to facilitate the arrival of maintenance workshops to all neighborhoods to complete maintenance works.

Damascus Countryside governorate, in cooperation with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, is continuously distributing humanitarian aid in the villages and towns of Eastern Ghouta in addition to providing free medical services.

More than 12,000 students have returned to schools in Eastern Ghouta and makeshift centers so far.
