(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Members of the Wives of Heads of Mission (WOHOM) from Asian and European embassies in Qatar recently hosted a farewell for Shahrul Nordin, wife of the ambassador of Brunei. The event was held at the residence of the Indonesian ambassador.
The farewell event started with a brief speech by Andi Una, wife of the Indonesian ambassador. Dilshad, WOHOM Chairwomen and wife of he Turkish ambassador, presented a memento to Shahrul. The speakers, on the occasion, appreciated Sharul for her contributions particularly towards promotions of activities related to Asean (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) during her stay in Qatar.
The participants inlcuded the wives of the ambassadors of Thailand, Singapore, Kazakhtan, Oman, Algeria, Turkey, Peru, Vietnam, Tajikstan, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Switzerland, Turkey and Peru.
Air Marshal (R) Muhammad Basri Sidehabi, Indonesian Ambassador to Qatar, praised the role and contribution of the Indonesian women in supporting the WOHOM activities.
