More than 300 extremist settlers storm Al- Aqsa compound


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Ramallah, April 5 (Petra)-- More than 300 extremist Jewish settlers early Thursday stormed Al-Aqsa mosque / Haram Al Sharif in the occupied holy city of Jerusalem, a Palestinian source confirmed.

The General Director of the Islamic Awqaf and al-Aqsa Affairs, Sheikh Azzam Al-Khatib, told Petra's reporter in Ramallah that today's raid by the Jewish settlers was carried from Al- Magharebah Gate under heavy protection of Israeli special police.

Al-Khatib stressed that the settlers provocatively toured the Al-Aqsa yards and listened to explanations on the alleged "Temple mount".

Also today, a group of extremist settlers sprayed racist slogans on Palestinian -owned cars in Beit Hanina north of the occupied Jerusalem, damaged and punctured the tires of several vehicles, he added.
