Russia may expand list of tomato suppliers from Turkey


(MENAFN) Russia may expand the list of tomato suppliers from Turkey, Rosselkhoznadzor said on April 3, RIA Novosti reports.

"Rosselkhoznadzor proposed Turkey's ministry of food, agriculture and livestock to discuss the issue of presenting additional list of enterprises that wish to supply tomato to the Russian Federation", the statement says.

Russian side has sent the program of the visit of the delegation of Rosselkhoznadzor experts to the Turkish partners to get familiar with the tomato production system in the aforementioned enterprises, the statement said.

In a different field, Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Turkey on April 3 to take part in a symbolic ground-breaking ceremony for Turkey's first nuclear plant on the Mediterranean coast in the Akkuyu district and to also chair a High-Level Cooperation Council meeting on April 3.
