Israel Army Radio host 'ashamed to be Israeli'

(MENAFN) The Israeli Army Radio has seen one of its key hosts appear and declare he was "ashamed" to be an Israeli citizen.

Host Kobi Meidan made his statement following the death of eighteen Palestinians amid a crackdown of unarmed protesters in the Gaza Strip.

Israeli daily Haaretz reported the host to have published a post on Facebook, denouncing "today, I'm ashamed to be Israeli."

However, his declaration received several condemnations with radio commander Shimon Elkabetz demanding the host to be fired with his show to be terminated.
