(MENAFN) Bahrain was declared to have reached a breakthrough in locating its largest oil gas resource in decades in the Khaleej Al Bahrain Basin.
This discovery marks the largest Bahrain ever seen since 1932 when extraction was launched on the country's first oil well in the Bahrain Oil Field.
The declaration was announced by Bahrain's Higher Committee for Natural Resources and Economic Security, which the Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa chaired.
The Crown Prince declared "today we announce that initial analysis demonstrates the find is at substantial levels, capable of supporting the long-term extraction of tight oil and deep gas."
