Tunisia: mentally ill person stabs two tourists


(MENAFN) Tunisian authorities declared that two tourists,whom nationalities are Spain and Britain,have suffered stabbing wounds from a mentally ill person.

Authorities added that the suspect attacked the Spanish man and the British woman at the Roman archaeological site in El Kaf city close to the border with Algeria,as he was detained soon after.

The city mayor confirmed that the reason behind the attack isn't terrorism,as the assailant is believed to be a mentally ill thief.

In a previous case, two German female tourists were also stabbed and injured in the city of Hammamet in northeastern Tunisia.
