Kuwait- Hawally emerges victorious in 'Mini Goal' tourney


(MENAFN- Arab Times) The final match of Kuwait Martyrs 2nd Football 'Mini Goal' tournament was held at Iyas Bin Mua'az Intermediate School for Boys under the patronage of General Supervisor of Physical Education Walid Ayesh and in the presence of a number of Physical Education supervisors as well as several football legends of Kuwait.

According to a press release, the match, which was between the team of Hawally Educational Zone and Capital Educational Zone, resulted in Hawally emerging victorious due to penalty shootouts with score of 2-1, after the match ended in a draw of 1-1 during normal time. Dr Istiqlal Al-Raqam was present at the event representing the sponsor Walid Ayesh.

She expressed her happiness for the success of the event that aims to revive memories of the martyrs of Kuwait who sacrificed their lives for their country. A number of star footballers of the golden football era of Kuwait including Saad Al-Houti and Muhammad Karam attended the event along with several media figures including Khalid Al-Herban, Mohammad Al-Musnad, Mutlaq Nasser, Hamed Kamel, Salah Rushdie, Dr Khalifa Behbehani and former Tunisian footballer Tariq Ze'ab.
