Pakistan- School principal arrested for providing cheating material to students in North Waziristan
The administration said the principal was regularly interfering in the examination centre and forcing the exam staff to provide cheating material to students attempting the papers. It said the principal has been arrested and a case has been registered against him.
Political Agent Kamran Afridi demanded the government to take action against the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Bannu if it failed to punish the people involved in using unfair means during the exams. He said the administration will never allow the use of unfair means in the exams.
Although the government took a number of steps to stop the use of unfair means in the matriculation exams in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA which started on 20 March, but this trend is still continuing in some areas. The youth of North Waziristan had also formed a society last year for curbing the trend of cheating in the exams. The society was later also joined by the tribal elders and it was decided that the students involved in cheating will be punished. However, the said society disappeared from scene this year.
