'Majority' of Labour share Owen Smith Brexit views
(MENAFN) The "overwhelming majority" of Labour members are in line with Owen Smith's thoughts on Brexit that led to his dismissal, he claimed while speaking to Sky News.
Even though he deemed the decision as "disappointing", Mr. Smith confirmed he was not sorry for calling a second EU referendum to take place.
He also insisted that "the vast majority of Labour members" aspire to share a view on Brexit "either at a General Election or at a further referendum" when an agreement is secured between the UK and the EU.
"Given this is the most pressing economic crisis that we've faced in our country for many generations, we need to be honest to the country and true to our beliefs about the scale of the crisis we face," Mr. Smith stated to Sky News.
