Doha: One person was arrested by the authorities for using several forged credit cards to make purchases from different stores in Qatar.
The Criminal Investigation Department, under the Ministry of Interior, arrested the person of Asian nationality as he tried to make purchases with forged credit cards.
The accused was arrested along with a number of counterfeit credit cards, a bank card programming device and a laptop computer that contains stolen card data. Many high-end smartphones were also confiscated along with the accused.
The accused was referred to the concerned authorities for further legal proceedings.
