Envoy: Belgium ready to provide solutions for waste treatment

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Belgium could provide highly advanced technological solutions for agriculture and waste treatment to meet the growing requirements of Qatar in the future, Belgium ambassador Bart de Groof told Gulf Times yesterday.
'Belgium's efforts in these fields have been hailed at many international forums over the years, he explained during a visit to the booth of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment's Waste Centre at the 6th Qatar International Agricultural exhibition (AgriteQ 2018).
While expressing happiness at the performance of the disposable waste treatment treatment plant in Mesaieed, ambassador de Groof said similar technologies are at work in different parts of Belgium.
The envoy said a growing country like Qatar which has experienced a steep growth in population in the last one decade would certainly require in future more plants like the facility in Mesaieed and hoped Belgium's technologies and capabilities would be showcased at a future date to the local authorities.
Similarly, Belgium also possesses effective agricultural technologies to enhance output from the local farms, he pointed out while highlighting new technologies and scientific crop researches in the European nation that combined to produce greater yields.
