Defense Minister Poltorak signs military cooperation document in Qatar
(MENAFN- UkrinForm) During the official visit of President Petro Poroshenko to Qatar, six documents on mutually beneficial cooperation, including military one, were signed, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's press service reports.
'This document issimilar to the one that has been recently signed by the Ukrainian delegation in Kuwait. For Qatar, Ukraine isacountry with experience of combat actions. Doha isinterested inthe Ukrainian equipment, especially anti-tank armament, reads the report.
According to the ministry, this agreement provides an opportunity for Qatar to invest in Ukraine, to develop joint production of armaments, equipment and ammunition.
"To jointly produce equipment, work for the defense of Qatar, but we are interested the most in the defense of Ukraine. Therefore, this agreement will significantly raise the defense capabilities of our country," Defense Minister of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak said.
